Zangdopelri Lhakhang
Located in the heart of the bustling commercial town of Phuentsholing is the Zangdopelri Lhakhang built in 1982. A small public park around this temple allows the inhabitants of Phuentsholing town to stroll in the fresh air at the day’s end.

Kharbandi Monastery

Standing above the Indian plains like a sentinel, Kharbandi Monastery was founded in 1967 by the late Royal Grandmother Ashi Phuntsho Choden. The monastery garden offers a beautiful view over the plains and the bustling town of Phuentsholing. Just above the monastery is a College of Science and Technology, the country’s only college offering undergraduate degree program in engineering. It is a residential college with good atmosphere for learning and creative activities.

Norgay Mini Zoo
Started in 1976, the 0.36-acre Norgay Mini Zoo at Phuentsholing contains the crocodiles and alligators. Apparently, hundreds of people both locals and tourists visit the mini-zoo daily to see the most frightening reptiles. This gharial (Gavialis Gangeticus) conservation falls under the jurisdiction of Phuentsholing Range Office under the Department of Forest and Park Services of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forest.
